(the “Company” or “Eastern Zinc”) (TSX-V: EZNC.H) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Fred Tejada as a Director of the Company in place of Mr. Stephen Jackson who has resigned. Mr. Tejada has over 30 years of international mineral industry experience and has a proven track record, working with both major international mining companies and exploration focused organizations. Mr. Tejada is currently Chief Executive Officer of European Electric Metals Inc. (TSX-V:EVX). He was former Country Manager and President of Philippine subsidiary companies of Phelps Dodge Exploration Corporation where he was responsible for corporate matters and exploration activities from project generation, property acquisitions and permitting. Prior to joining European Electric Metals he was Vice President Exploration of Panaro Minerals Ltd. (TSX-V:PML) where he directed the resource definition drilling of its two major copper projects in Peru. Mr. Tejada is a director of Coronet Metals Inc. (CSE:CRF) and other junior mining companies based in Vancouver, BC. Mr. Tejada is a Registered Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo) of the Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
